Hundreds Of Restaurants And Hotels In West Jakarta Receive Tourism Grants From The Ministry Of Tourism And Creative Economy

JAKARTA - A total of 264 restaurants and hotels affected by COVID-19 in West Jakarta will receive the 2020 Tourism Grants from the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy.

"The details are 254 restaurants and ten hotels," said West Jakarta Head of Tourism and Creative Economy (Parekraf) Dedi Sumardi, during the socialization of the list of recipients of the 2020 Tourism Grant activity information letter at the West Jakarta Mayor's Office, reported by Antara, Thursday, December 10.

Dedi said that the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government received a supporting budget grant for hotel and restaurant business actors affected by COVID-19 from the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy and registration of grants has been opened online.

The 2020 Tourism Grants Program batch III is open from Monday (7/12) to Saturday (12/12) via the old website www.jakarta-tourism.go.id.

"This is the third stage. Currently there are 182 applicants list. Today and tomorrow the verification, "he said.

Dedi asked the village heads to submit their information in their respective areas according to the data shared so that if there are restaurant and hotel entrepreneurs who pass the verification, they can submit proposals.

The criteria for recipients of tourism grants include hotels and restaurants according to the 2019 Hotel and Restaurant Taxpayer database in the grant recipient areas, still standing and operating until the implementation of tourism grant funds in August 2020.

In addition, hotels and restaurants have business licenses, namely TDUP (tourism business data sign) which is still valid and has proof of payment of PHPR (hotel tax-restaurant tax) in 2019.

He hopes that registration and verification will run smoothly so that the grant funds can be received next week.

"Hopefully, next week it can be disbursed. This Tourism Grant Fund is in the context of national economic recovery, "he said.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Mayor of West Jakarta, Yani Wahyu Purwoko, appealed to the village heads to immediately convey the socialization of the tourism grant fund program in their respective regions.

In addition, he requested that the socialization that is being carried out is now documented and conveyed directly to the hotel and restaurant management or management.

"The village heads should comb their areas again, they are worried that some people do not know. The hope is that business actors, both restaurants and hotels, will immediately follow up on this program, "said Yani.

Both Dedi and Yani did not specify the value of the tourism grant funds that will be received by restaurant and hotel businesses affected by COVID-19.
