Chairman of the NasDem Party, Surya Paloh, emphasized that his party still supports the Jokowi-Ma'ruf Amin government until the end of this period ends. Although currently NasDem has nominated former DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan, he is still in the ranks of the coalition supporting the government. "Until today I say, we still show our efforts to provide full support for the success of the administration of President Jokowi's leadership until the end of his term of office," said Surya Paloh, during the celebration of NasDem's 11th Anniversary, quoted Saturday, November 12. Paloh emphasized that his party is still at the forefront of providing support for the Jokowi government. "I need to emphasize this, it doesn't mean because we are planning Bung Anies Baswedan that our relationship must be broken, our relationship must be separated," said Paloh. According to Paloh, Anies' declaration as a presidential candidate in 2024 was a spirit that NasDem wanted to continue the development that had been achieved by President Jokowi, not the other way around. "NasDem believes that placing Anies Baswedan's presidential candidate is in the context of continuing ongoing development efforts, the success that has been achieved. So if this is rotated in such a way, it is stated that there is a systemic effort to prevent development under Jokowi's leadership, I think the most prepared to face the group is NasDem," said Paloh. Therefore, Paloh hopes that his statement can provide clarity that NasDem is still in the same line with the coalition with the Jokowi-Maruf government.
