COVID-19 Update As of November 11: 6,247 New Cases Appeared But 4,139 Those Who Have Recovered

JAKARTA - The Task Force for Handling COVID-19 released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 62,351 specimens were examined today. As a result, 6,247 new positive cases of COVID-19 were found.

"The total accumulated positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia reached 6,550,448 people and active cases rose by 2,062 to 47,893 cases", said data from the COVID-19 Task Force, Friday, November 11.

Today's recovered cases increased by 4,139 people, bringing the total to 6,550,448 people recovered. Then, the number of positive confirmed cases who died increased by 46 cases and a total of 159,035 people.

The province with the newest cases is DKI Jakarta with 2,583 cases and a total of 1,469,520 cases. Followed by West Java which has 934 new cases with a total of 1,197,608 cases. East Java has 685 new cases and a total of 620,425 cases. Banten has 586 new cases and a total of 347,529 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 1,799 recovered cases. Followed by East Java with an additional 683 recovered cases, West Java with an additional 408 recovered cases, and Banten with an additional 307 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens has reached 111,154,183.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 15.78 percent", he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases was recorded at 5,974 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

Furthermore, currently, 205,237,268 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 172,083,846 of the second dose of vaccination. Then, the third dose of vaccination was 65,674,792 and the fourth dose was 698,659. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 234,666,020 people.
