PTPN III Helps Increase Teacher Competitiveness And Professionality

JAKARTA - Holding Perkebunan Nusantara PTPN III (Persero) also encourages increased competitiveness and professionalism of teachers, through the BUMN Service program for Teachers implemented in North Sumatra on Tuesday-Wednesday (11-12/10/2022).

The BUMN service for Teachers is a form of service for teachers through Teacher Professional Education Training which is carried out in collaboration with 48 SOEs. The activity was held simultaneously on 11-12 October 2022 in 6 locations, namely West Java, North Sumatra, South Sumatra, Lampung, Maluku, and East Nusa Tenggara.

"This activity is in line with the main focus of the BUMN social and environmental responsibility program (TJSL), in which apart from being related to the environment and MSMEs, there is also an education sector," said the President Director of Holding Perkebunan Nusantara PTPN III (Persero), Mohammad Abdul Ghani in a written statement received by VOI.

In this activity, continued Abdul Ghani, PTPN III (Persero) together with a number of other SOEs that become PIC in the North Sumatra region, were given the mandate to provide teacher professional education training to 200-500 participants and replace certification exam fees to 405 people. "This training aims to provide teachers to be ready and mature in facing professional certification exams," he said.

Meanwhile, SOE Minister Erick Thohir at the launch of the BUMN Service Program for Teachers some time ago emphasized his commitment to the world of Indonesian education. "Teachers are national heroes who of course must have a mark of service," he said.

BUMN, continued Erick, pays attention to teachers, one of which is by helping with teacher certification as a sign of seriousness to continue to improve capabilities in the education sector, along with the progress of the times and developments of Indonesian human resources.

Erick said that this training activity was attended by more than 1,000 teachers in 6 provinces who were present offline and online. According to him, this program is in line with Law No. 14 of 2005 concerning teachers and lecturers who mandate all teachers as professionals, they must have Teacher Professional Certification which is carried out through teacher professional education certification.

"We hope that the contribution of Bakti BUMN to Teachers can also encourage the optimization of the potential of educators in order to assist students in realizing an advanced, prosperous, and global Indonesia. Hopefully teachers in Indonesia can become professional educators for the advancement of Indonesian education," said Erick.
