PKS Asks Governor Heru To Continue The UN Liberation Program For NJOP Houses Below IDR 2 Billion Anies Era

The PKS faction of the DKI Jakarta DPRD asked the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono to continue the policy of former DKI Governor Anies Baswedan regarding land and building taxes (PBB).

While still in office this year, Anies decided to waive PBB payments with a tax object (NJOP) selling value of less than IDR 2 billion.

"The PKS faction asks that the policy of exemption from land and building taxes for objects with NJOPs under Rp. 2 billion continues," said PKS faction member Abdul Aziz in a general view document of the factions against the Raperda regarding the DKI Jakarta APBD for the 2023 fiscal year, quoted Thursday, November 10.

Aziz views that currently many people are still experiencing economic difficulties due to the COVID-19 pandemic and are greatly helped by the release of the United Nations.

"Especially if the land and building assets it own come from inheritance, some of which still have to be divided," said Aziz.

Then, as compensation for the reduction in income from taxes due to this policy, the DKI Provincial Government can collect data and reassess tax objects located in areas that have developed rapidly into business and economic areas.

"Optimizing revenue from the United Nations and BPHTB is also carried out by preventing manipulation in determining the amount of tax and building a strong system for transparency in determining the amount of tax that must be paid and the realization of the payment," said Aziz.

For information, the policy since the Anies era that freed the United Nations with NJOP under Rp. 2 billion is contained in Governor Regulation Number 23 of 2022 concerning Policies for Determination and Payment of Land and Building Taxes for Rural and Urban buildings as Efforts for Economic Recovery in 2022.

It is recorded that as of 2022, there are 1.2 million houses of residents whose NJOPs are below IDR 2 billion.

The value of NJOP for UN exemption was increased by Anies after previously tax exemption only applies to NJOP under Rp1 billion by former DKI Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama or Ahok.

Meanwhile, the United Nations with NJOPs of more than IDR 2 billion was given a reducing factor based on the minimum land and building area requirement for simple healthy houses, which is 60 square meters for the earth and 36 square meters for buildings, and 10 percent acquisition.
