Maluku PPP Cadres Mau Ganjar Pranowo And Anies Baswedan But Not Necessarily Approved By The DPP

JAKARTA - The Regional Leadership Council (DPW) of the Maluku Province United Development Party (PPP) proposed Ganjar Pranowo and Anies Baswedan as presidential candidates for 2024.

"This is the voice of the lower current submitted to the Central Executive Board (DPP). But in the end, everyone must obey the principles. What has become the central mechanism must be implemented. Moreover, we have entanglement with the United Indonesia Coalition (KIB)," said Acting Chairman of PPP Muhamad Mardiono in a written statement in Jakarta, Friday.

The proposal was submitted after holding the Regional Leadership Meeting (Rapimwil) II which was held in Ambon City, Maluku, Thursday (03/11) night.

The results of the Rapimwil proposed two presidential candidates (candidates), namely Ganjar Pranowo and Anies Rasyid Baswedan. Meanwhile, the vice presidential candidate (cawapres) proposed Muhamad Mardiono and Erick Thohir.

Mardiono explained that proposals from various regions regarding the names of presidential and vice-presidential candidates had not been made as a decision by the DPP. In fact, the center itself still continues to hear voices from the bottom.

"This is again not a decision, it is only the cadre's thoughts that can arise among the community. It is called a democratic party, so all citizens have the same rights," he said.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the Maluku PPP DPW A. Aziz Hentihu emphasized that he would obey and be solid with the DPP decision. According to Aziz, the DPP will not arbitrarily decide on these names.

Earlier it surfaced names, but it was only a proposal. The DPP decision will definitely go through many aspects of consideration, not only one local area but reach the national and national interests of the Indonesian nation so that it will be studied through the long DPP mechanism," he explained.

Aziz added that the Maluku DPW together with the DPP are currently strengthening solidarity under Mardiono's leadership. He hopes that in the future he can continue to pursue the target for the 2024 General Election.

"Whatever the DPP decision is then brought to KIB, then we Samina wa Athona, which is obedient and obedient because at this time we are strengthening solidarity which must really be maintained because the election is in 13 months," he said.
