Continue The LRT Velodrome-Manggarai Year 2023, DKI Make Sure The Kelapa Gading-JIS Route Still Exists

The Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency has ensured that the plan to build the Jakarta LRT with the Kelapa Gading-Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) route will still be carried out even though there are now changes in the priority for tracing work. Previously, the continuation of the construction of the phase 2A Jakarta LRT was planned for the Kelapa Gading-JIS route. However, the results of a limited meeting (ratas) chaired by President Joko Widodo some time ago, it was decided that the continuation of the LRT construction would be carried out on the Velodrome-Mangkarai route. "The Kelapa Gading-JIS route remains because it is a network of Jakarta's urban rail master plan," Syafrin told reporters, Thursday, November 3 night. Meanwhile, regarding the identification of the route that could potentially change due to the adjustment of the priority work, Syafrin said it would be discussed later. "For identification, an indication of the phase, we will convey it further later. Automatically the stages will adjust according to development," said Syafrin. In a meeting of the DKI Jakarta DPRD Budget Agency which discussed the draft KUA-PPAS APBD for the 2023 fiscal year last night, it was decided to submit a regional capital participation budget (PMD) to PT Jakpro BUMD of Rp442 billion for LRT work with the Velodrome-Mangkarai route in 2023. Syafrin said the budget had not been intended for the construction process. "For the Rp442 billion, it's preliminary work. There is cleaning work and so on. But, in terms of need it's not that much," he explained. Syafrin could not confirm in detail the timing of the LRT project for the Velodrome-Manggarai route starting next year. Now, the DKI Provincial Government is still preparing a number of things. "We will immediately submit a request for a trace agreement to the Minister of Transportation for the Velodrome-Manggarai route. After the approval, then there is a route determination, there is also a drop, and after that we will prepare a job for next year," he added.
