Puan Maharani Concerning The Sanctions Of Colonel Council: Everyone Can Support, But Follow The Chief's Decision

JAKARTA - The Council of Colonels containing Puan Maharani's loyalists in the DPR was given a stern warning by the PDIP. In response, Puan said PDIP cadres remained solid and remained upright following the directions of the General Chair, Megawati Soekarnoputri.

"The point is that we are solid PDIP and we will follow the instructions given by the president, regarding common understanding," said Puan at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday, November 1.

Puan assessed that the existence of a Council of Colonels supporting her was an internal dynamic of the party.

He understands that support for figures to run in the 2024 Presidential Election can be done by anyone. It's just that, said Puan, as a PDIP cadre, you must comply with the general chairman's command.

"Everyone is allowed to support and provide support to internals who are considered qualified, who have the capacity and capability to participate in the 2024 presidential election.

The former Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture also appreciated the support of the Council of Colonels which contained PDIP cadres who wanted to help socialize his performance. However, he said, it must also be on the orders of the PDIP chairman.

"So what is being done is something that must be done and at the direction of the General Chairman," he concluded.
