SAMARINDA - Six thousand village heads throughout Indonesia are scheduled to visit the Capital of Nusantara (IKN) in the Sepaku area, North Penajam Paser, East Kalimantan.

The visit of the village heads was carried out in a series of activities of the National Coordination Meeting of the Central Executive Board of the Association of Indonesian Village Governments (DPP Apdesi) in December 2022.

"I received information that approximately 6,000 village heads will attend IKN. This indicates that IKN is truly supported by the community," said East Kalimantan Governor Isran Noor on the sidelines of receiving a visit from the Apdesi DPP in Samarinda.

Isran thanked the General Chairperson of the Apdesi DPP, Surtawijaya, accompanied by the Chairman of the Apdesi Kaltim DPD Somali, who had scheduled the activities of village heads to review IKN in East Kalimantan.

For Governor Isran, the village government has a big role in nation building, because they are more in contact with ordinary people.

Therefore, Isran strongly supports the intention of the Apdesi DPP to hold the National Coordination Meeting in December, followed by a visit to IKN in Sepaku Penajam Paser Utara.

As a form of support for the success of the implementation of the National Coordination Meeting, the number one person on the Etam Continent asked the offices related to the East Kalimantan Provincial Government to help until the implementation of the activity ended.

Meanwhile, the General Chairperson of the Apdesi DPP Surtawijaya said the Apdesi National Coordination Meeting was a form of moral support for village heads in Indonesia regarding the transfer of the State Capital from Jakarta to the East Kalimantan region.

Surtawijaya expressed his gratitude for the assistance provided by the East Kalimantan Provincial Government to make the National Coordination Meeting a success.

"The Apdesi National Coordination Meeting is planned in East Kalimantan and followed by a review of IKN. Approximately 6 thousand village heads who are representatives of village heads throughout Indonesia gather at IKN in East Kalimantan Province," said Surtawijaya.
