Settlement In Kebon Jeruk Burns On Sunday Afternoon, The Cause Is Still Being Investigated

JAKARTA - A fire occurred in a residential area on Jalan Kebayoran Lama, behind Permata Hijau Hospital, South Sukabumi Village, Kebon Jeruk District, West Jakarta on Sunday afternoon, October 30.

Residents reported the fire to the North Grogol Damkar Post at around 11.55 WIB.

After receiving the report, the West Jakarta Fire and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-dept. dispatched 28 fire engines with 140 personnel to the fire site.

"The object that caught fire was a residence. The process of extinguishing the fire started at 12.00 WIB and was successfully localized at 12.45 WIB," said Head of West Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept. Syafrudin when confirmed by VOI, Sunday, October 30.

Until this afternoon, the flames that had grown were successfully extinguished by hundreds of firefighters. The fire was successfully tamed a few minutes after a severe flare.

"It has been a cooling process since 12.52 WIB until now. Cooling is still ongoing," he said.

Syafrudin admitted that his party was still investigating the cause of the fire so that a fire could occur.

"The cause is still being investigated," he said.
