JAKARTA - A python was successfully evacuated by officers from the East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept. The presence of a python was reported by residents to the Fire Station on Thursday, October 27, at 08.10 WIB.

The batik-motivated snake was evacuated by officers from inside the wastewater Treatment Plant (IPAL) on Jalan Raya Ciracas, RT 01/11, Kelapa Dua Wetan Village, Ciracas District, East Jakarta.

"After receiving the report, we sent 5 rescue personnel to the location at around 08.20 WIB. The evacuation of the 2-meter-long python was completed at 08.26 WIB," said Head of East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept., Gatot Sulaeman, to reporters, Thursday, October 27.

Gatot explained that the snake has a diameter of 10 cm. The snake is hiding inside a 1.5 meter deep IPAL Bak.

"The discovery of the snake began when a worker named Rafli was checking the IPAL tub. He saw a python, then the reporter came to the Education and Training post," he said.

Officers evacuated the snake using a snake pincher. Then the snake is put into a container that has been prepared by officers.
