West Java Regional Police stated that the investigation team was aware of the identity of the perpetrator of the stabbing of a 12-year-old boy in Cimahi City, West Java, causing him to die.

The Head of Public Relations of the West Java Police, Kombes Pol Ibrahim Tompo, said the identity of the perpetrator of the murder was suspected to be Rizaldi Nugraha Gumilar (22) alias Ical, who is a resident of Bandung City.

"This suspect has indeed been identified based on the results of adjustments from several data and information as well as evidence used as instructions to develop information, so it was concluded that this suspect was the culprit," said Ibrahim at the Cimahi Police Station, Cimahi City, West Java, quoted from Antara, Sunday, October 23.

According to him, Ical has now been named a suspect and is on the wanted list (DPO). So, he said, the police are still hunting for the suspect.

"Until today, we are trying to make a DPO for us to spread it to the public so that the suspect can be immediately secured and processed according to the existing law," he said.

Ibrahim explained that the perpetrator had the characteristics of a height of about 160 centimeters, thin, and had tattoos on both arms with batik motifs.

In this case, according to him, the police charged Ical with premeditated murder accompanied by violent theft. Because, said Ibrahim, the perpetrator was suspected of asking for the victim's cellphone before stabbing.

"But there was no cellphone, (the victim) was stabbed directly by the perpetrator. Then the perpetrator fled," said Ibrahim.

Previously, the stabbing of an elementary school student with the initials PS took place on Jalan Mukodar, Cimahi City. The perpetrator carried out this act when the victim returned from the Koran at the mosque on Wednesday 19 October at around 18.45 WIB.

The stabbing incident was known from CCTV video footage around the location. After the stabbing incident, PS was immediately rushed to the hospital, but his life could not be saved.
