MEDAN - Candidate for mayor of Medan number 1 Akhyar Nasution talked about the importance of maintaining a sense of justice in order to prevent the emergence of an understanding of radicalism that could lead to acts of terrorism.

The Medan city government maintains, provides justice, provides equal opportunities to all Medan residents to participate in building Medan, so that Medan is conducive to safety, serenity, harmony. Akhyar believes that radicalism and terrorism will not grow in Medan because all Medan residents are treated fairly.

"Because Medan is a diverse city, we all give it the same opportunity. Terrorism occurs because our sense of injustice will minimize injustice, "continued Akhyar.

Meanwhile his running mate, the deputy mayor of Medan, Salman Alfarisi, mentioned the demonstration at the DPRD. This demonstration is called protesting the central government's policy.

"So I am Salman Alfarisi 11 years old member of DPRD in Medan City and in the province of North Sumatra. Regarding the Medan city problem, I always face demonstrations at the DPRD and it is not related to Medan city regulations but related to central regulations. But we managed to put a damper on every demonstration, hopefully there will be no riots in Medan. The most important thing is that Medan has a character building character, ”said Salman.

Salman's answer was questioned by candidate number 1 for mayor Bobby Nasution. According to him, Salman's answer did not match the questions about dealing with radicalism and terrorism. This question was previously asked by Bobby's partner, Aulia Rachman.

"I am a bit surprised by what Pak Salman said, the demonstration was not terrorism or radicalism. That is conveying opinions, conveying aspirations. So the demonstration is not radicalism and terrorism. What are the concrete steps to ward off radicalism, terrorism, from education and young people, what are the concrete steps, "said Bobby.

Calmly, Salman responded to Bobby's question. According to Salman, the demonstration meant an injustice protest which could lead to an understanding of radicalism.

“The demonstration is because Medan residents feel injustice so that an understanding of radicalism can grow. The most important thing is character education in mosques, schools of worship, "said this PKS politician.
