Danny Pomanto Accuses JK Of Behind OTT Edhy Prabowo, Spokesperson: Of Course It Will Be In Conflict With The Law

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) was asked to clarify with the candidate for Mayor of Makassar Danny Pomanto about his accusation that Jusuf Kalla was the mastermind behind Edhy Prabowo's arrest while serving as Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries.

This was conveyed by the spokesman for Jusuf Kalla, Husein Abdullah in a written statement in Jakarta, reported by Antara, Saturday, December 5 in response to the viral sound recording allegedly by Danny Pomanto.

"I just want to say, what's wrong with Mr. JK to Danny Pomanto so that he has the heart to slander like that? Danny doesn't seem to have the slightest courtesy to a figure respected by all circles," said Husain.

Husain even touched on the philosophy of the Bugis-Makassarese people regarding customs and customs of respecting parents

"I am sure that the Bugis-Makassarese people are not prone to slander like that because culturally and religiously they know the risk that slander is more cruel than murder," he said.

So far, according to Husain, especially after no longer serving as vice president, JK is more busy with social activities.

For matters of disturbing other people, including Danny Pomanto, according to him is something that doesn't make sense. For this incident, Husain emphasized that Danny Pomanto would face the law.

"Danny will of course face the law. Moreover, involving the KPK so that the KPK needs to clarify and clear itself of Danny Pomanto's accusations," he said.

For Husain, the problem that Danny raised regarding the slander against JK also greatly undermined the KPK, whose achievement was to arrest Edhy Prabowo.

"Danny has hurt the hard work of the KPK. What is no less dangerous is that Danny has pitted national figures against each other. Which could have a negative impact on the relationship between the elite which has been going well," he said.

He also asked the KPK to summon Danny Pomanto to clarify the slander.

Previously, a video was circulated and accompanied by a voice recording, allegedly the voice of Danny Pomanto, accusing former Vice President Jusuf Kalla of being the mastermind behind Edhy Prabowo's arrest in the corruption case of lobster seed imports.
