BANGKA - Bangka Police, Bangka Belitung Police, has curbed illegal tin seed mining activities or without an inconventional type permit in watersheds (DAS). The Head of Ops for the Bangka Police, AKP Capt Jordansyah, said that the control had to be carried out because the tin seed mining activity did not have official permits and was in watersheds such as fishermen I, Jalan Laut and Kampung Pasir Sungailiat. Before taking firm action, he said, his party had first warned against illegal tin seed mining activities for 24 hours. "We have repeatedly reminded mining workers not to commit acts of violation, but the prohibition is ignored by miners," he explained in Bangka, Antara, Thursday, October 20. To ensure that there are no more illegal tin seed mining activities, his party will intensify supervision in the field. "If under further supervision similar activities are still found, we will force workers or mine owners to dismantle all mining equipment themselves," he said. Controlling tin seed mining activities without an inconventional type permit involves 100 police personnel from the Bangka Police and Sungailiat Police and dozens of personnel from the Civil Service Police Unit. According to him, people are not prohibited from doing tin seed mining work but must be accompanied by an official mining business permit document. He invited all levels of society in the jurisdiction of the Resort Police to jointly maintain security and order.
