Follow Hispondence To Reject Referendum Russia In The Ukrainian Territory At The General Assembly Of The United Nations Voting, The Minister Of Foreign Affairs Of Culture Fired

JAKARTA - The foreign minister had to give up his position because he was fired, after choosing to follow his opinion in a vote related to the Russian war with Ukraine which was held by the United Nations (UN).

New Minister of Foreign Affairs Richard Randriamandrato was fired following his decision to vote for a UN General Assembly resolution that does not recognize referendums in the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics, as well as the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions annexed by Russia, the Orange media reported.

In his post on his Facebook page of Turbagia's President Andry Rajoelina, the Minister of Defense, General Richard Rakotonirina, was appointed acting foreign minister.

Previous pausing has always stated neutrality related to conflict in Ukraine. Randriamandrato explained about his decision when answering questions from French radio station RFI.

"I made this decision to vote according to my conscience. I don't think that this vote endangers the interests of the nation. The rest will be judged by history," he said, as reported by Sputnik News Oct. 19 from RFI.

As a result of this, the former minister dismissed him for making his own decisions on strategic voting at the United Nations regarding the Russia-Ukraine conflict, without consulting the government and President of Culture, the portal said.

It is known that the UN General Assembly previously adopted a resolution that did not recognize Russia's referendum in occupied Ukraine. A total of 143 countries voted in favor of resolutions, five opposed and 35 others abstained. Russia, Belarus, Syria, North Korea and Nicaragua were the countries voting against it.

As previously reported, the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics (DPR and LPR), as well as the Kherson and Zaporozye regions held a referendum on whether to be part of Russia on September 23-27. Most voters support joining Russia.

On September 30, Russian President Vladimir Putin addressed the Kremlin after the referendum, and then he signed an agreement with the new regional head on the acceptance of the region to Russia. A few days later, he signed a federal law ratifying the acceptance of the region to the Russian Federation.
