JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has confirmed that it will immediately send an independent team of doctors to Jayapura to examine Papua Governor Lukas Enembe. This step was taken to fulfill the rights of a suspect, namely to get health services. "This team will carry out an activity agenda to ensure and at the same time assist the health recovery of the parties whose statements are needed by the KPK, especially the rights of the suspects, we must fulfill," said KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri to reporters, Wednesday, October 19. Lukas, who is a suspect in alleged corruption, has yet to undergo an examination. The cause, he was sick. Regarding this condition, the traditional woman of Yowenayosu Papua, Naema Yarisetouw, said that the government should immediately replace Lukas with a temporary acting officer. He claimed that residents began to complain about public services that were not optimal. The existence of this interim official, continued Naema, is expected to maximize public services that are hampered by the scope of the district government. Furthermore, Naema also spoke about the appointment of Lukas Enembe as a tribal chief. He suspects that there are other interests that underlie the process. This is because a tribal chief in Papua cannot be arbitrarily appointed. "The inauguration of the head of the Papuan tribe should be carried out by all ondoafi in Papua and cannot only represent and there must be a big party for all Papuan people," said Naema. He asked Lukas to cooperate in fulfilling the KPK's summons. The applicable legal process should not be avoided, especially since he is now a suspect. Naema asked Lukas supporters not to be arbitrary. They were asked to go home to prevent security disturbances. "The public is worried that the case of Lukas Enembe can disrupt the stability of security and peace in Papua," he said. As previously reported, Lukas has been named a suspect by the anti-corruption commission. However, the case that ensnared him has not been detailed. Lukas will actually be questioned on Monday, September 26 at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta. However, the examination was failed because Lukas admitted he was sick and could not provide information. Furthermore, the KPK will again make summons that have not been informed for sure.
