JAKARTA - The suspect in the drug buying and selling case, Inspector General Teddy Minahasa, appointed Henry Yosodiningrat as his attorney. This has also been confirmed directly by Henry Yosodiningrat. Henry admitted that he has been appointed as teddy's attorney since the former West Sumatra Police Chief was placed in a special placement (Patsus) in the Police Provos. "Yes, it is true ( Teddy's lawyer, ed)," Teddy said when confirmed, Tuesday, October 18.

According to Hendry, his client was innocent. Therefore, he regretted that Teddy Minahasa was named a suspect in a drug case.

The General Chairperson of the Anti-Drug Movement (Granat) boasted that if Inspector General Teddy was later proven guilty, he himself would ask his client to be sentenced to death.

"If Teddy does that, I am the first person in front of him to react, if necessary, the law is dead, right," said Hendry.

Henry assessed that the status of a drug suspect against Teddy did not make sense. He revealed that Teddy had vowed that he was not at all involved in the case of buying and selling the illicit goods.

"It doesn't make sense to me, it doesn't make sense. It's different for example that he is accused of accepting bribes from the regional police project or something, maybe for example up to Rp. 20 billion or something. This is already drugs, the value is only hundreds of millions and he vowed he didn't receive the money," said Henry.

Therefore, the member of the DPR from PDIP admitted that he was very confident in defending Teddy Minahasa. Henry also believes that his client is not at all guilty in the case. In fact, he guaranteed that legal assistance to Teddy was not based on honorary or payment matters at all. Henry said that his belief had received instructions from God.

"In addition, as a Muslim, that's why I am in Islamic teachings, if in terms of doubt there are still doubts, istikharah prayers, it asks for decisive instructions. With the results of the istikharah I have determined that he is not wrong," he concluded.
