LSP Survey: Electability And Popularity Of Prabowo Subianto Is Still The Highest

JAKARTA - The Public Sound Circle (LSP) released the results of a survey of the popularity and electability of presidential candidates who are expected to advance in the 2024 presidential election. As a result, Prabowo's popularity and electability of the general chairman of the Gerindra Party Prabowo Subianto is still the highest. LSP Research and Study Director Indra Nuryudin, said that in general the popularity of the figures was at an interval of 50 percent to 95 percent where Prabowo's highest popularity was still occupied by Ganjar Pranowo, Sandiaga Uno, Anies Baswedan, Ridwan Kamil, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) and Ahmad Syaikhu's lowest was 59.0 percent. Likewise, the level of likeability was in the 80 percent interval occupied by Prabowo and Ahmad Syaikhu 45 percent. This survey confirms that Prabowo's electability was still at the top with 31.8 percent gain. Followed by Ganjar 20.4 percent, and Anies 11.7 percent.

"The question of electability was also made by not including several figures such as Sandi Uno, Ganjar Pranowo and Anies Baswedan in a closed question format. The result still places Prabowo as the leader of electability," said Indra in an online survey presentation, Saturday, October 15.

In the simulation questions that did not include Sandi, continued Indra, although there was no significant shift in voters, Prabowo's electability increased by 0.5 percent, Ganjar increased by 0.3 percent and Anies increased by 0.1 percent compared to the electability of previous questions. Then questions that did not include Ganjar's voter shift occurred again and most likely the shift was influenced by Ganjar's voters. Prabowo's electability also increased by 3.9 percent, while Ridwan Kamil rose to second position an increase of 1.1 percent. "The waste from Ganjar is probably the most obtained by Puan Maharani where there was a surge of 4.6 percent from 2.9 percent to 7.5 percent," he said. "There are still Ganjar voters who choose other candidates and there are 12.0 percent who have not yet made their choice," continued Indra. Then a simulation that did not include Anies shift occurred where Prabowo's electability increased 2.8 percent, Ganjar increased 0.2 percent and Ridwan Kamil increased 1.9 percent from electability which included all candidates.

"In short, this simulation shows the shift in electability of Ganjar and Anies also shows that Prabowo is acceptable both from Ganjar voters and Anies voters. Kesan Prabowo as a unifying figure is acceptable," explained Indra. "This simulation also found that Ganjar voters also switched quite a lot to Puan if Ganjar was not included in the question," he added.

According to Indra, there is still time for political parties to determine who the presidential candidates will be promoted. There is a presidential candidate who has no influence on the electability of political parties, and some have an effect. Likewise with the presidential candidate, there is a presidential candidate chosen because the influence of the political party is more due to personal or personal factors. "It is still enough time for each political party and presidential candidate to increase electability to become the winner in the upcoming 2024 election contestation," said Indra.
