JAKARTA - The Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) responded to the title 'Nasdrun' or NasDem Kadrun which circulated on social media after NasDem declared Anies Baswedan as a presidential candidate in 2024.

The chairman of the PKS faction of the DPR, Jazuli Juwaini, reminded all parties not to start polarization in the community by making provocative names or idioms like Nasdrun, as happened in the previous election.

"In the past, the name Kadrun was also pinned by other parties, especially political buzzers, thus causing polarization that is very detrimental to this nation," Jazuli told reporters, Tuesday, October 11.

According to him, in the future Indonesia will need qualified leaders for the progress of the country of Indonesia. Both those with regional head backgrounds, ministers and institutional leaders.

So, said Jazuli, the candidates who intend to run as candidates for national leaders are enough to explain to the public about their vision, mission and superior programs.

"Don't draw on polarization that divides the nation," said Jazuli.

Jazuli also hopes that all citizens will be wise and mature in expressing their political views, including the political elites.

"Political Elite should not set bad examples so as to lead to unproductive debates in democracy," said the member of Commission I of the DPR RI.

The Banten electoral district legislator invites all elements of the nation to fill a democratic party with ideas that educate the nation. The community, said Jazuli, also needs to show quality and capability with positive narratives and achievements.

"So that our democracy is more national and intelligent," he said. Previously, the NasDem Party did not care about the term Nasdrun which was crowded on social media. The Deputy General Chairperson (Waketum) of NasDem Ahmad Ali, said that his party did not recognize the term 'kadrun' in national politics.

"We never know Kadrun in politics. That's just a term attached to people. What's the difference in the past is that there were kamprets, tadpoles. Yes, this politics should not make us too sensitive," said Ali, Sunday, October 9.

Ali assessed that the designation was a form of personification of NasDem's decision to carry Anies. However, he said, NasDem did not question the names made by people who did not like NasDem to nominate Anies.

"If we then nominate Anies, we will continue to be personified as kadrun kek, cebong kek, kampuk kek, that's basically not happy, right," he said. NasDem is not Nasdrun. NasDem never planned a coalition with Nasdrun," he continued.
