Anies Baswedan: Indeed, The Task In DKI Jakarta Is Complete, But God Willing, Not Yet For Jakarta And Indonesia

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan said that his duties for the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government were indeed over, but not for Jakarta and Indonesia.

"Indeed, the task at the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has been completed. But God willing, it is not finished in carrying out its duties for Jakarta and Indonesia," said Anies on his personal Instagram @aniesbaswedan quoted from Antara, Sunday, October 9.

The statement mentioned by Anies in the Tabliqh Akbar of the Syarikat Islam to celebrate the 117th anniversary of the Syarikat Islam at the Istiqlal Mosque, immediately invited the president's shouts aimed at Anies Baswedan.

On that occasion, the number one person in DKI Jakarta asked to say goodbye because next week his position as head of the Jakarta area would end.

"At the same time, this is my opportunity to say goodbye, especially to Islamic organizations in Jakarta. I beg to say goodbye. I will also continue my journey, this is my last weekend on duty in Jakarta," he said.

It is known that the former Minister of Education and Culture has said that he is ready to run as a presidential candidate (candidate) if there is a party that carries it. Currently, Anies was also declared a presidential candidate from the NasDem Party some time ago.

The positions of DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan and DKI Jakarta Deputy Governor Ahmad Riza Patria are known to end on October 16, 2022. The leadership position of DKI Jakarta will then be filled by the Acting (PJ) Governor of DKI Jakarta until 2024.

The candidates for the PJ Governor of DKI Jakarta consist of three names, namely Kasetpres Heru Budi Hartono, Secretary of DKI Jakarta Marullah Matali, and Director General of Politics and General Administration of the Ministry of Home Affairs Bahtiar.

From the latest information, the Head of the Presidential Secretariat, Ministry of State Secretariat, Heru Budi Hartono, has been appointed as the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta.

This was determined at the Final Assessment Team (TPA) meeting led by President Joko Widodo at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Friday afternoon.

It was informed that the name Heru was decided by President Jokowi after hearing the considerations of Vice President Ma'ruf Amin and members of the TPA and related ministers.
