Heru's Presidential Decree As Acting Governor Of DKI, Anies Thankful: People Who Already Know Jakarta

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan said he was grateful when he learned that President Joko Widodo had appointed the Head of the Presidential Secretariat Heru Budi Hartono as Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta. According to Anies, Heru is a qualified official in replacing his position in leading Jakarta for the next two years. Because, he has experience being an official of the DKI Provincial Government. "We are all grateful that we will be on duty as people who already know Jakarta. The rest, we support anyone who works, including Pak Heru, to be able to carry out their duties properly," said Anies when met in the Blok M area, South Jakarta, Friday, October 7. Heru is not new to the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government. He started his career in 1993 by becoming a Civil Servant (PNS) with the position of Special Staff of the Mayor of North Jakarta. Heru Budi has also occupied a number of important positions. For example, in 2014, Jokowi, who was then the Governor of DKI Jakarta, appointed him as Mayor of North Jakarta. After that he was appointed Head of DKI BPKAD in 2015. From this experience, Anies believes that Jokowi's decision to elect Heru as Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta is the right thing. "We believe that his experience will be very good and we believe that the president made a decision by considering all the complete factors for the good of the people of Jakarta," explained Anies. "We are also ready to be ready to support. Anyway, it is supported unconditionally, fully support it, so that he can carry out his duties in Jakarta as well as possible and the people of Jakarta are making continuous progress," he continued. As is known, Jokowi has appointed Heru Budi Hartono as Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta. This was decided by Jokowi in a meeting of the Final Assessment Team (TPA) which was chaired directly by Jokowi at the Merdeka Palace today. Before being elected, there were three names of candidates for the Acting Governor of DKI proposed by the DKI Jakarta DPRD. Apart from Heru, the names of the previously proposed Acting Governor were DKI Jakarta Provincial Secretary Marullah Matali and Director General of Polpum Kemendagri Bahtiar.
