Dikeriksa KPK Kasus Korupsi Karomani, Rektor Untirta Banten Mengaku Dicecar KPK Seputar Polisi SNMPTN Wilayah Barat

BANTEN - Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University Chancellor (Untirta) Banten Fatah Sulaiman said that the Corruption Election Commission (KPK) asked about the West Regional National Selection for State Universities (SNMPTN) policy. "Yes, I was summoned as a witness in the case that ensnared the inactive rector of Unila," he said, after being a witness in the investigation of the case that ensnared the inactive Lampung University Chancellor (Unila) Karomani (KRM), at the Bandarlampung Police Headquarters, Antara, Friday, September 30. His presence is as the Chairman of the Western Regional State University Cooperation Agency which is considered to be aware of the general policies for the implementation of the West Region SNMPTN in 2022. "Yes, I was just asked about the general policy of SNMPTN - West area only by the KPK," he said. He also emphasized that he was ready to be summoned again by the KPK as a witness if any information was needed from him. "This has only been called once. Maybe I will be called again, what is certain is that as a witness I am ready and support the KPK," he said. He also advised the Chancellors of Universities in Indonesia to take lessons from the case that ensnared the inactive rector of Unila Karomani. "Unila's inactive rector case must be a lesson for all leaders of state universities, I think we have to take lessons," he said. Today, located at the Bandarlampung Police Station, the KPK investigation team has scheduled the summons of witnesses related to the corruption case of accepting bribes for accepting new student candidates in Unila. In addition to Fatah Sulaiman, the KPK also summoned six other witnesses, namely the Head of the Academic Bureau of Unila Hero Satrian Arief, Deputy Chair of the 2022 New Student Recipients Nandi Haerudin, Deputy Dean of General Affairs and Finance of FISIP Unila Arif Sugiono, secretary of admissions for new students from Unila 2022 Hery Dian Septama, coordinator of the 2022 Unila new student admission secretariat Karyono, and honorary employee Unila Destian. The KPK has named four suspects consisting of three as bribe recipients, namely Karomani (KRM), Deputy Chancellor I for Academics at Unila Heryandi (HY), and Chairman of the Unila Senate Muhammad Basri (MB). While the bribe giver is the private party Andi Desfiandi (AD).
