Kejari Penjam Mengembalikan Uang Korupsi Jembatan Ekowisata Mangrove, Terdakwa Sudah Jalani 1.5 Tahun Penjara

KALTIM - The North Penajam Paser District Attorney's Office (Kejari) returned state money from the corruption of the 400-meter long wooden bridge construction project in the mangrove or mangrove forest ecotourism area amounting to Rp130 million. The head of the North Penajam Paser Kejari, Agus Chandra, said that the construction of a bridge in Kampung Baru Village, Penajam District, East Kalimantan (Kaltim), was carried out in 2016. The bridge was built using the East Kalimantan Provincial Government's financial assistance budget of around Rp1.17 billion. In the construction of a bridge in the mangrove forest ecotourism area, there were irregularities based on an audit by the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) which cost the state finances of Rp130 million. "According to the decision of the state court, Rp130 million has been completed. We have executed the money and returned it to the state treasury," he said in Penajam, East Kalimantan, quoted from Antara, Friday, September 30.

The North Penajam Paser Kejari has begun to handle allegations of irregularities in the bridge construction project starting February 28, 2016 and on July 17, 2018, it will be upgraded to the investigation stage.

He said the convict in the corruption case in the construction of a bridge in the mangrove forest ecotourism area has now been released after serving a 1.5 year prison sentence. The contractor for the construction of a bridge in the mangrove forest ecotourism area has served a sentence since February 2021 which is required to return state money amounting to Rp130 million. "The state loss caused by the project irregularities must be returned," said Agus.

He asked the district government and contractors to work on the project according to the applicable planning and provisions because the profits to be obtained have been regulated in the work contract. *Don't let the project work not match the specifications and inflate the price," he concluded.
