The KPK Welcomes Lukas Enembe Accompanied By His Private Doctor If Examined In Jakarta

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) invites the personal doctor of Papua Governor Lukas Enembe to accompany during a health check in Jakarta. He must first be examined if he continues to ask for treatment in Singapore.

"We invite the suspect's personal doctor to join the team," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri in a written statement, Friday, September 30.

Ali stated that the KPK only needs certainty whether Lukas' illness must be treated abroad. Later, there will be an assessment from the team from the Executive Board of the Indonesian Doctors Association (PB IDI).

From the results of the assessment, it will only be decided on further steps, including allowing Lukas to go to Singapore.

"For objectivity, we carry out direct assessments by an independent team of doctors from PB IDI," he said.

As previously reported, the KPK has named Papuan Governor Lukas Enembe as a suspect in alleged corruption. The case that ensnared him has not been detailed.

Lukas will actually be questioned on Monday, September 26 at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta. However, this examination failed because he admitted to being sick and could not provide information.

Furthermore, the anti-corruption commission will again make a summons. However, it has not been revealed when it will be implemented.

Lukas was only asked to cooperate in fulfilling the investigator's summons. The KPK said that his statement was urgently needed to clarify the allegations of corruption that occurred.
