BMKG: Beware Of Potential Heavy Rain In Several Regions Of Indonesia

JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) is aware of the potential for heavy rain in a number of parts of Indonesia on Monday, November 30, 2020, although generally it is expected to be cloudy and potentially light rain.

Reported by Antara, Monday, November 30, based on numerical model data from BMKG weather output in Jakarta, Monday, the weather in parts of Maluku, North Maluku (Malut), Papua and West Papua has the potential to experience moderate to heavy rain.

However, the Maluku and Papua regions are generally sunny and cloudy with the potential for light rain.

Then, parts of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) and East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) are also expected to experience moderate to heavy rains, even though others and Bali are generally sunny and cloudy with the potential for light rain.

In general, the island of Sumatra is also predicted to be cloudy with the potential for light rain. However, parts of southern Aceh, Jambi and South Sumatra (Sumsel) have the potential for moderate rain.

Furthermore, BMKG is also aware of the potential for moderate to heavy rain in parts of East Java (West Java), Central Java (Jateng), Yogyakarta and East Java (Jatim).

However, Java Island is generally expected to be cloudy with the potential for light rain.

In general, Kalimantan Island is also predicted to be cloudy with the potential for light rain. However, parts of Central Kalimantan (Kalteng), East Kalimantan (Kaltim) and North Kalimantan (Kaltara) have the potential for moderate rain.

Meanwhile, moderate to heavy rains are predicted to occur in parts of North Sulawesi (Sulut), Gorontalo, Central Sulawesi (Central Sulawesi), northern Southeast Sulawesi (Sultra) and South Sulawesi (Sulsel), although the Sulawesi region is generally expected to be cloudy. so that the potential for light rain.

For this reason, BMKG appealed to people whose areas are predicted to experience heavy rain to be careful when carrying out activities outside the home this Monday.
