TANGERANG The South Tangerang (Tangsel) Police revealed the practice of mixing a 3 kg gas cylinder into a 12 kg gas cylinder at a shophouse on Jalan Akasia, Pamulang, South Tangerang, Tuesday, September 27.

The South Tangerang Police Chief, AKBP Sarly Sollu, said that in the raid, dozens of savings containing adulterated gas were found.

"Evidence on 34 gas cylinders measuring 12 kg and 36 gas cylinders 3 kg," Sarly told reporters at the location, Tuesday, September 27.

In addition to securing evidence, the police also arrested two perpetrators with the initials S and MS. They are suspected of being the main perpetrators of the case of mixing gas cylinders.

"So by using a modified regulatory pipe, it was carried out by suspect S on the orders of suspect MS," he said.

For their actions, the two perpetrators were charged with Article 55 of Law Number 22 of 2001 concerning Oil and Gas Earth as amended based on Article 40 of Law Number 11 of 2020 concerning Job Creation with a penalty of 6 years.
