COVID-19 Update as of September 27: New Cases 1,976, Accumulated 6,425,849 Cases

JAKARTA - The Task Force for Handling COVID-19 released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 79,880 specimens were examined with the results of 1,976 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,425,849 people and active cases have fallen by 115 to 19,173 cases", said Task Force data, Tuesday, September 27.

Today's recovered cases increased by 2,070 cases, bringing the total to 6,248,619 recovered people. Then, 21 positive confirmations died and a total of 158,057 people.

The province with the highest number of new cases was DKI Jakarta with 740 cases and a total of 1,423,705 cases. Followed by West Java with 353 new cases with a total of 1,178,989 cases. East Java has 248 new cases and a total of 604,702 cases. Then, Banten with 158 new cases and a total of 336,707 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 657 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an increase of 471 recovered cases, East Java with an additional 257 recovered cases and Banten with an additional 151 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens has reached 108,516,957.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week was 6.71 percent", it wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 4,718 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

To date, 204,511,652 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 17,117,113. people underwent a second dose of vaccination.

While the third dose of vaccination was 63,308,151 and the fourth dose was 598,272. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 234,666,020 people.
