JAKARTA - Mariaty Achmad (68) and his attorney, Ficky Achmad, came to the South Jakarta Metro Police. They asked for clarification on the existence of an Investigation Termination Order (SP3) in a case of alleged fraudulent sale and purchase of gold at a shop at ITC Permata Hijau, South Jakarta.

Ficky Achmad explained that his client bought gold in 2010 at a price of Rp. 20,700,000 with the lure of gold from Dubai.

However, when Mariaty wanted to sell it in September 2020, it was revealed that the gold contained a non-gold mixture. This was known after the victim checked the gold exhibition.

Mariaty admitted that the gold she bought in 2010 was original gold from Dubai and was also stated through a gold purchase letter.

There is a toy component, not gold, it is said that gold, 22 carats are not 23 carats according to the purchase paper," Ficky told reporters at the South Jakarta Metro Police, Monday, September 26.

On that basis, the victim reported to the South Jakarta Metro Police on February 5, 2021. However, until September 21, 2022, he was reported that the case had been terminated.

The report that had been terminated was registered with Number: LP/206/II/2021 RIS on Friday, February 05, 2021.

September 21, 2022, a letter of termination of the investigation was issued. On the basis that no criminal element was found. On that basis, on September 26, we submitted a request for clarification," he said.

Ficky said the Deputy Chief of the South Jakarta Metro Police AKBP Harun would conduct a re-investigation.

"He will carry out some kind of internal case title to formulate this case until investigation," he said.

The report, until September 21, did not work. Instead, the victim received information that the case he reported had been unilaterally terminated.

"The reason is just (there is no criminal element). If we say subjective, if we are subjective reporting," said Ficky.

On that occasion, Ficky appealed to the jewelry customers at the shop to immediately check the gold content. This is done to prevent the same loss from happening to his client.

"I urge people who have bought jewelry at the ITC Permata Hijau store to retest gold levels, heavy gold to prevent losses like those suffered by the complainant," he concluded.
