KENDARI - The Kendari Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas) conducted a search operation for a student named Yusril (24) who was reported missing in the Bukit Popalia forest, Wolasi District, South Konawe Regency, Southeast Sulawesi. Head of Basarnas Kendari Aris Sofingi said his party received information about Yusril's disappearance from a colleague of the victim named Lukman. "We received information at 21.04 WITA from Lukman who reported that there had been a dangerous condition for humans against one person who was reported missing in the Bukit Popalia forest," he said in Kendari, Antara, Sunday, September 25. Based on the report, at 21.22 WITA the Search and Rescue Office (KPP) or Basarnas Kendari was dispatched to the accident scene to conduct a search for students at the end of Catur Sakti Kendari. "A team of seven people who departed for the last location of the victim was reported missing using a Rescue Car, one ambulance and a trail of one unit," he said. The victim, who is a resident of Kelurahan Kessilampe, Kendari District, Kendari City, was previously reported to have entered the Bukit Popalia forest alone on Saturday at around 19.00 WITA. Before entering the forest, the victim entrusted his motorbike to local residents. "Until when this information was received, the victim had not returned and a search had been carried out by local residents with no results," said Aris.
