DEPOK - Depok City DKP3 Head Widyati Riyandani hopes that the Cheap Food Market held in Depok can make it easier for people to obtain basic commodities at affordable prices. Including suppressing the inflation rate in the city.

"Hopefully this activity will be able to suppress the inflation rate that occurs in Depok City, that is our hope together," he said in Depok, West Java (Jabar), quoted from Antara, Sunday, September 25.

Widyati added that basic commodities such as rice, cooking oil, beef, chicken meat, eggs, shallots, garlic, curly red chilies, red cayenne pepper, and sugar were sold cheaper than the market.

"Based on the results of monitoring and evaluation, the cheap market received appreciation from the people present," he said.

This Cheap Food Market is in collaboration with the Directorate General of Horticulture (Toko Tani Indonesia Center) of the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan). Its implementation is carried out in two locations, namely Cimanggis District, Wednesday, September 21 and Depok Jaya Market, Thursday, September 22.

Widyati said, in addition to the cheaper price, the quality is also good so it is hoped that similar activities can be held regularly per month with more diverse types of commodities and more in number.

One of the residents of Depok, Surya, said that this cheap Food Market helps residents to get prices for basic commodities at affordable prices.

According to him, when the price of food commodities is rising, goods sold are cheaper and good quality.

The commodity prices sold at the Cheap Food Market, such as shallots, IDR 29,000 per kg, red cayenne pepper and curly red chilies IDR 55,000 per kg, and garlic kating IDR 26,000 per kg.

Next, broiler chicken Rp. 34,000 per kg, chicken eggs Rp. 25,000 per kg or Rp. 46,000 per route, soup beef Rp. 75,000 per kg, mouthful meat Rp. 85,000 per kg, rendang meat Rp. 95,000 per kg. sugar packaged sugar is Rp. 13,000 per kg, and packaged cooking oil starts from Rp. 14,000 per liter to Rp. 16,000 p.m.
