MATARAM - The panel of judges at the Mataram Corruption District Court, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), sentenced Nugroho to acquittal. By stating this decision, the judge acquitted the defendant Nugroho from all charges by the public prosecutor. The judge in the verdict of the defendant Nugroho also ordered the public prosecutor to release the defendant from custody. According to the public prosecutor, the act of disbursing the advance amounting to 20 percent or Rp7.6 billion was not in accordance with the procedure and was against the law. The defendant was deemed not to be careful in the process of disbursing advance payments, causing state losses. On that basis, the panel of judges believes that PT. Guna Karya Nusantara (GKN) as the executor of a project that has received a down payment flow must be responsible for the loss to the country. "Thus, the evidence was returned to the public prosecutor to be developed into other cases," said Dedy Arcana.
