Prabowo Prepares Grand Design Of State Defense Master Plan According To President Jokowi's Order

MALUKU - Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto accompanied President Joko Widodo on a working visit to Southwest Maluku Regency (MBD), Maluku.

Prabowo said the Ministry of Defense had prepared a large design for long-term national defense as ordered by Jokowi.

"According to President Joko Widodo's order 2.5 years ago to make a grand design of the national defense master plan," Prabowo said in his statement, Thursday, September 15.

This includes securing the archipelagic sea lanes in Indonesia which are the world's sea trade routes.

"It's also about how we can secure the Indonesian archipelagic sea lanes where 60 of the world's sea trade passes through our waters," Prabowo said.

"Of course, we will do this carefully and involve all relevant institutions," he continued.

On the same occasion, Jokowi emphasized the importance of the design of state defense and security at the outermost points of Indonesia to protect Indonesia's natural potential, especially for border areas such as Southwest Maluku.

"After we look at Southeast Maluku, Southwest Maluku, then Aru Islands Regency, then Tual City, Saumlaki, we see the need for a design for state defense and security, at which point is the most appropriate. is here needs to be seen in detail," said Jokowi.

Prabowo also agrees with Jokowi. He said Indonesia's wealth is very large in eastern Indonesia and is diverse. This wealth must be guarded with a strong national defense.

"Our wealth in this region is very, very large, not only fish wealth, but also mineral wealth under the sea, gas and oil under the sea," Prabowo said.
