JAKARTA - The main goal of Russia's sanitation shield is to protect people from possible future biological threats, President Vladimir Putin said.

"Among the priorities is to create what is called our country's sanitation shield. The main goal is to protect Russian citizens from possible future biological threats," President Putin said, quoted by TASS September 15.

"The implementation of this project will make the diagnosis of infection fast and easy to access," President Putin continued.

That way, President Putin continued, would make it possible to diagnose an unknown infection in a day, he explained.

Experts believe the testing system to detect sanitary shields, can be developed within four days.

"I'm sure you will definitely complete all of these tasks, all tasks related directly to improving the welfare and quality of life of our citizens," President Putin told Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing staff.

The Russian authorities plan to use artificial intelligence technology to analyze the epidemiological situation associated with the construction of a sanitation shield.

Head of the Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing Anna Popova said artificial intelligence was used to create an epidemiological analysis system.

Overall, according to him, the sanitation shield or sanitary shield will have four main operating areas, related to the pandemic situation.

"We include four interconnected areas in the Sanitary Shield project that will ensure: first, effective warning, second, early detection, third, quick response to emerging challenges, and fourth, close and effective control of all objects and environmental factors," he said.
