Case Of Obscenity Of Administrators In Alor NTT, Komnas Perempuan Desak UU TPKS Applied

JAKARTA - Komnas Perempuan encourages the Alor Resort Police (Polres) to implement the Law (UU) on the Crime of Sexual Violence (TPKS) in investigating cases of sexual abuse of dozens of children by prospective pastors in Alor Regency, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).

Komnas Perempuan Commissioner Andy Yentriani said the TPKS Law could be used in investigating the case as well as for assistance to victims.

"We have heard of this case, and we encourage the police in investigating this case to use the TPKS Law," he said when contacted, Sunday, September 11.

He appreciated the efforts of the civil society that provided assistance to victims of sexual violence carried out by the candidate priest with the initials SAS.

To the people of Alor Regency, Andy also expressed his gratitude and continued to encourage the police to thoroughly investigate this case.

He added, based on the TPKS Law, assistance is carried out by the procurement of services, in this case, especially by the UPTD P2TP2A.

His party proposed the use of the law because the law could provide protection against victims of sexual violence.

Komnas Perempuan, he said, has a role in monitoring the process of implementing the law. And he hopes that in the process the law will be implemented.

So far, there have been 12 victims of cases of sexual violence who have reported to the Alor Police. Local police officers have also arrested and detained the suspect.

The Alor Police are still investigating and investigating the case to find out if there are other victims, as a result of the disgraceful acts committed by SAS.
