Gerindra Mandatory To Know, Muhaimin Iskandar Don't Want To Be The 'Second': Mosok NU Becomes President

JAKARTA - Gerindra and PKB have officially formed a coalition. Gerindra has been determined to carry their General Chair Prabowo Subianto as presidential candidates. But the chairman of PKB Muhaimin Iskandar is also no less confident that he can still become a presidential candidate.

Muhaimin still believes that his move forward as a presidential candidate in the upcoming 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres) will be successful.

"In 2024, it's not just the vice president, God willing (it will be) the president of the Republic of Indonesia. Mosok (kader) NU (so) the vice president continues, rek. Once (kader) Nahdlatul Ulama (becoming) president," said Gus Muhaimin in a statement received in Jakarta, Saturday, September 10.

He made this statement in front of thousands of people while attending the laying of the first stone for the construction of the Ma'had Tahfidz of the Pintu Langit Quran, the Islamic Struggle Education Institute, Bustanul Ulum, Jember Regency, East Java.

Gus Muhaimin said that Jember Regency, which is the basis for PKB and NU voters, has an important position in the winning process.

"God willing, Jember is based on PKB, NU base, the Ahlussunnah wal Jamaah base will contribute the most votes for my victory," he said as quoted by Antara.

Cicit, one of the founders of NU KH Bisri Syansuri, said that there are a number of goals that make him determined to intend to run as a presidential candidate. First, make Indonesia better.

After that, we change the fate of our nation to be more noble. There is no such thing as a person who does not receive quality education," he said.

Gus Muhaimin is very confident that he can change the quality of Indonesia's future to be superior and ready to compete with other countries. Therefore, he asked the students to study seriously and tirelessly.

Don't waste the opportunity. Let's prepare a better and brighter future for us, as long as we are ready to become qualified people and lead seriously. God willing, we will unite together, change the fate of the students and the people of Indonesia," he said.

Gus Muhaimin came to the event accompanied by Deputy Chairpersons of the MPR RI Jazilul Fawaid, Member of the DPR RI Dapil Lumajang-Jember Syaiful Bahri Anshori and Nur Yasin, Regent of Jember Hendy Siswanto, Chairman of the PKB faction Jember, Mochamad Hafidi, Chairman of the DPP PKB Lukmanul Khakim, Deputy Chairperson of the East Java DPRD Anik Maslahah, and a number of administrators of the East Java PKB DPW and the Jember PKB DPC.

Gus Muhaimin symbolically also laid the groundwork for the construction of the Ma'had Tahfidz Al-Qur'an Pintu Langit which is the initiative of the caretaker of IBU Kiai Hafidi to accommodate the students and the people of Jember to learn, understand, and memorize the Koran for free.

Gus Muhaimin also stated his readiness to jointly help develop education at the Ma'had Tahfidz Al-Qur'an Pintu Langit to become more advanced so that the future of the students can be much better and noble.
