PT Pegadaian Employee Barabai South Kalimantan Branch Terjerat Kasus Korupsi Senilai Rp2,8 Miliar

BANJARMASIN - A resident of PT Pegadaian Barabai branch named Risti Annisa Fitria was caught in a corruption case worth Rp. 2.8 billion. The trial of the case that entangled Risti was held today at the Banjarmasin Corruption Court.

"The defendant was charged with committing a criminal act of corruption and causing state losses of Rp2.8 billion," said Dwi Kurnianto Public Prosecutor's Team (JPU) in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (Kalsel), quoted from Antara, Thursday, September 8.

In the trial led by the Chief Justice Heru Kuntjoro, the prosecutor presented six witnesses in the evidentiary stage.

Meanwhile, the defendant Risti was present virtually from the Rantau Class IIB Rutan accompanied by her legal adviser, Handayani.

They are the Head of the Barabai Branch for the 2018-2020 Sunyoto period, the Barabai Branch Pegadaian Leader for the 2020-2021 Yoyok period, the Barabai Branch Leaders for the 2021 period until now Fakhrudin and three of the employees of PT Pegadaian, namely M Rizky, Sti Kartika and Zulfikar.

The facts of the trial illustrated that the alleged corruption of the defendant began to be revealed after witness Yoyok carried out a routine examination of the inherent supervisory function (Waskat) against the UPC-UPC in his area, including the Rantau UPC.

The defendant is suspected of misappropriating the disbursement funds from hundreds of customers of Safe Fast Credit (KCA) products at UPC Rantau. The reason is, when witness Yoyok examined KCA products at UPC Rantau, he found irregularities in 125 KCA active.

"There are 125 active KCAs, 1 KCA cut off, but there is no physical collateral. The collateral is recorded in the system in the form of gold," said Yoyok.

Furthermore, after an audit, a total of 127 families were found at UPC Rantau which was managed by the defendant. It is suspected that the payment of KCA loans by customers was not inputted by the defendant into the system and the payment money that should have been deposited was instead used for his benefit so that the estimated state loss reached more than Rp. 2.8 billion.
