There Are 3 Suspects Left, The Ethics Session Regarding Obstruction Of Justice Cases Of Brigadier J Postponed Until Next Week

JAKARTA - The National Police has decided to postpone the trial of the Police Code of Ethics Commission (KKEP) for the suspects of obstruction of justice in the premeditated murder of Brigadier J. There are only three suspects who will be tried ethically next week.

"In connection with the trial of the code of ethics obstruction of justice, it may continue next week," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo to reporters, Thursday, September 8.

The three suspects who lined up for the KKEP trial included the former Karo Paminal Propam Polri Brigadier General Hendra Kurniawan, former Deputy Head of B Ropaminal Divpropam Polri AKBP Arif Rahman, and former Head of Subunit I Sub-Directorate III of the National Police's Criminal Investigation Agency AKP Irfan Widyanto.

For the reason behind the delay, Dedi said the investigative team was still filing. Then, the examination of witnesses who will be reported on their examination (BAP) becomes the basis for making decisions or verdicts for violators.

"Because the filing is still in the process. There are also quite a lot of witnesses who are asked for information," he said.

However, the Propam Division will continue to schedule an ethics trial against the former Paur Subbagsumda Bagrenmin Divpropam Polri AKP Dyah Chandrawati (DC), today.

Propam Polri has held a KKEP trial against four suspects of obstruction of justice.

Mereka yakni, eks Kadiv Propam Polri Irjen Ferdy Sambo, eks Kasubbag Riksa Baggak Etika Rowabprof Divpropam Polri Kompol Baiquni Wibowo.

Then, the former Head of Subdit Bagga when the Rowabprof Division of the National Police Propam Division, Kompol Chuck Putranto, and former Head of A Ropaminal Divpropam Polri Kombes Agus Nurpatria.

The results or decisions of the trial, they were sentenced to dishonorable dismissal (PTDH). However, these suspects compactly decided to appeal.

Meanwhile, the suspects of obstruction of justice are suspected of violating Article 49 in conjunction with Article 33 and/or Article 48 paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 32 paragraph (1) of the ITE Law Number 19 of 2016 and/or Article 221 paragraph (1) to 2 and 233 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 55 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 56 of the Criminal Code.
