Tangerang Regency Industry And Trade Department: A Number Of Food Commodities Experienced Price Increases Due To Fuel Prices

TANGERANG - Head of Trade Division of the Tangerang Regency Industry and Trade Agency, Iskandar Nordat, admitted that there were several commodities that experienced an increase due to rising fuel prices, namely chili peppers, and chicken eggs.

"Only eggs and chilies are significant, others are relatively safe," said Iskandar, Monday, September 5.

Based on data on the development of commodity price increases in the market in Tangerang Regency, the price of shallots was originally IDR 35,000 per kilogram, to IDR 55,000 to IDR 65,000 per kilogram.

Furthermore, red chilies are from IDR 40,000 to IDR 80,000 per kilogram, and red chilies from IDR 35,000 to IDR 65,000 per kilogram.

Then, for beef, starting from IDR 110,000 to IDR 130,000 to IDR 140,000 per kilo, chicken meat from IDR 30,000 to IDR 48,000 to IDR 55,000 per kilogram, local sugar from IDR 12,500 to IDR 14,000 per kilogram.

Meanwhile, the price of boiler chicken eggs from IDR 22,000 to IDR 31,000 to 32,000 per kilogram.

"So for these two egg commodities, before the fuel price went up, it had already gone up, for chilies it's only been two days," he concluded.
