Careful! BMKG Weather Forecast: There is Potential for Rain with Lightning in South and East Jakarta

JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) asked the public to be aware of rain accompanied by lightning in South Jakarta and East Jakarta in the afternoon and evening.

"Be aware of the potential for rain that can be accompanied by lightning/lightning and strong winds of short duration in parts of South Jakarta and East Jakarta in the afternoon and evening," said the BMKG early warning statement quoted from the www.bmkg.go.id page in Jakarta, Saturday.

It is said that the weather in the entire DKI Jakarta area is predicted to be cloudy in the morning.

Quoted from ANTARA, starting in the afternoon, light rain is forecast for the administrative areas of West Jakarta, South Jakarta, and East Jakarta. While Central Jakarta is forecasted to be cloudy, North Jakarta and the Thousand Islands are forecasted to be cloudy.

Meanwhile, at night it is estimated that the weather in the entire DKI Jakarta area will be cloudy.

The BMKG also predicts the weather in the buffer areas of the Capital City, such as Bogor, which has the potential to rain accompanied by lightning and strong winds between noon or afternoon until evening in Bogor Regency and City.

Rain in the Bogor area affects the discharge of the Katulampa Dam which passes through the Ciliwung River to the capital city of Jakarta.

For other buffer areas, such as Depok and Bekasi, cloudy skies are forecast throughout the day. Meanwhile, Tangerang City is cloudy all day.

Meanwhile, the air temperature in DKI Jakarta is estimated to be around 26-34 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, the forecast for air humidity ranges from 65-90 percent.
