BOGOR - Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto emphasized that national defense is determined by science and technology.

This was conveyed by Prabowo when he was the inspector of the ceremony at the opening of the Vocational Diploma (D3), Undergraduate (S1), Master (S2), and Doctoral (S3) programs as well as the promotion of student cadets for the Vocational Diploma (D3), Undergraduate Program (D3). Prabowo said that the Defense University is a very strategic and vital educational institution, because it is the only university in Indonesia that explores the entire spectrum of studies and lessons on defense management strategies and war science.

“Defense is absolute. If we are rich, we must be strong to protect our wealth. If we want independence, we must be strong to maintain independence. If we want to be sovereign, we must be strong in maintaining sovereignty. This is where the importance of the Defense University," Prabowo continued.

Prabowo also explained that since the beginning of his duty as Minister of Defense, he placed the development of the Indonesian Defense University as one of the most important things. Considering the current development of technology and science in the world that requires reliable, idealistic, and professional human resources.

The Indonesian Defense University students who have passed the 2022/2023 FY selection are 792 people from all provinces in Indonesia, consisting of 175 Diploma 3 Vocational Programs (D3), 300 Undergraduate Programs (S1), 293 Masters Programs (S2), and 24 Doctoral Programs (S3).
