The Attorney General's Office Says Nanik S Deyang Will Be Investigated by Investigators

JAKARTA - The Attorney General's Office (Kejagung) RI has confirmed that it has not scheduled an examination of the former Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) Nanik S Deyang this week. However, investigators do not rule out calling Nanik if his testimony is deemed necessary for the purpose of proving in the investigation process.

This was conveyed by the Head of the Legal Information Center (Kapuspenkum) of the Attorney General's Office, Anang Supriatna, according to him, the steps of the investigators will be adjusted to the needs of the ongoing investigation.

"For this week there is no schedule for summoning, but in the future it is not impossible as long as the investigators consider it necessary for proof," said Anang Supriatna, when confirmed, Tuesday, July 22, 2026.

Anang said that at present, investigators are still prioritizing the examination of other witnesses who are considered to have stronger evidentiary value in the case being handled. Therefore, there is no plan to call the former Head of BGN in the near future.

"Currently, investigators are still focusing on other witnesses who have strong evidence," said Anang.

Nanik S Deyang previously announced his resignation as Head of the National Nutrition Agency through a post on his personal Facebook account on Tuesday, July 22, 2026. In his statement, he said the decision was made for health reasons so that he had to undergo treatment abroad.

"It is likely that the president will form a supervisory board where I am asked to be the chairman of the supervisory board (if I am still able to do it, the important thing is not to have anything to do with holding money, an oath of acute trauma)," Nanik wrote on his personal Facebook account.

Nanik has only served as Head of BGN since being inaugurated by President Prabowo on June 8, 2026. He replaced Dadan Hindayana who was dismissed after being dragged into the case of alleged corruption in the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program and is now a suspect.
