DKI Jakarta Will Continue Transitional PSBB, Are There New Rules?

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will again extend the transitional Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) regulation. The reason was that the transitional PSBB would end today, after previously being extended by Governor Anies Baswedan starting on 9 November.

Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria said that the plan for this transitional PSBB will be implemented over the next two weeks.

"Regarding the PSBB, God willing, today the Governor will announce the policy in the next 2 weeks for the extension of the transitional PSBB. So we'll just wait," he said at the Perbakin building, South Jakarta, Sunday, November 22.

According to him, the certainty of whether or not the transitional PSBB policy will be extended is based on a joint decision involving all parties. Therefore, he asked the public to accept the decision.

"In recent days, we have continued to hold coordination meetings with all parties. So it is a policy that we must convey today. Because tomorrow we enter the next phase," he said.

However, Riza could not confirm whether the extension of the transitional PSBB this time had new regulations. Nevertheless, he continued, the policy must be announced immediately because it will soon enter the next phase.

"I do not want to precede the Governor who will convey the matter regarding the extension because we have discussed it internally with the experts to hear input from all parties," he said.

Based on the Decree of the Governor of DKI Jakarta number 1100 of 2020 concerning the Extension of the PSBB Transition Towards a Healthy, Safe, and Productive Society this rule will be automatically extended until December 6.

During the ongoing PSBB transition period, Anies in the Governor's Decree stated that the Jakarta Covid-19 Task Force / Task Force team would monitor the development of the corona transmission situation. If there is no significant increase in cases, the PSBB will immediately be extended from 23 November to 6 December.
