The Issue Of Buying And Selling ASN Positions In The DKI Provincial Government: KPK Highlighted, Denied By Anies' Subordinates

JAKARTA - As the term of office of the Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan ends, the issue of buying and selling of the positions of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government Civil Apparatus (ASN) has emerged. The head of the PDIP faction of the DKI Jakarta DPRD was thrown out by Gembong Warsono, the head of the rumor.

This member of Commission A of the DKI DPRD admitted that it was an open secret that the sale and purchase of positions to government employees had been going on for a long time. However, according to him, this practice became more widespread during Anies' tenure as DKI Governor.

"At the end of the governor's term, I heard many problems with our ASN in the sale and purchase of placements. How many individuals have I found," Gembong told reporters, Wednesday, August 24.

Gembong said the traded positions were in various positions, ranging from the village head, the section head of the regional work unit (SKPD), to the sub-district head.

He gave an example, the position of shifting positions from sub-section head to section head in the same echelon is priced at Rp. 60 million. Then, the position of the lurah costs up to Rp. 100 million. Meanwhile, the position of sub-district head is worth Rp. 200 million to Rp. 250 million.

Gembong claimed that the report on the practice of buying and selling ASN positions had also been received by the PDIP faction, both from DKI Provincial Government employees who were victims of job withdrawals and complaints from the general public.

Therefore, if the DKI Provincial Government has not received a report, Gembong said that the DKI Jakarta Inspectorate should immediately investigate the truth.

"So, when there is such information, the Inspectorate should conduct a search on the information that we conveyed at an official working meeting some time ago. These are rumors that have been getting louder lately (Anies' tenure)," he said.

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) also highlighted the issue of buying and selling positions. KPK Deputy for Enforcement and Execution Karyoto asked anyone who knows about the alleged bribery of buying and selling positions within the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government ASN to report.

Karyoto said his party was ready to investigate the allegation. However, the KPK is waiting for information to come in before taking action.

"If there is, if there is a good report, good information, we will look for supporting evidence," Karyoto said at a press conference at the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Thursday, August 25.

Denied by Anies' men

The Head of the DKI Jakarta Regional Personnel Agency (BKD) Maria Qibtya responded to the issue regarding the sale and purchase of ASN positions in the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government. Anies Baswedan's subordinates claim that until now there has never been a report from his staff regarding the news.

"No one has ever reported being harmed, no one has ever reported being asked for money in the context of this (appointment). No. If there is, we will definitely follow up," said Maria when contacted.

Feeling that she had never received a report on the news, Maria asked the Gembong who raised this issue to prove that there was indeed a position that was traded.

"People don't have reports, so I don't know and I actually need proof. So, if there is news like that, just prove it, if it's proven and (the sale and purchase of positions) the person is there," said Maria.
