JAKARTA - Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo acknowledged the important role of journalists as the spearhead of the realization of the spirit of nationalism and patriotism. This form then gave a lot of color to Indonesia.

"But that can change if the trust of the public is lost, meaning that journalist competency testing is important because there are regulations, ethics, and writing procedures. Credibility is expensive and if it can be maintained, then an Indonesian house with the spirit of nationalism and patriotism will be formed," " said Ganjar in his statement, Thursday, August 25.

Ganjar claimed to have found media that lacked credibility, broadcasting things that did not match the facts. Even the information displayed without any confirmation with it. He immediately broadcast a protest when it happened.

"If it is reported differently, I usually immediately complain. If I make a complaint, I immediately call the editor so that everything is clear, that's why my friends are taking the competency test. I am sure that in this room the values will be there, so it is more prudent," he said.
