All Candidates For The 2024 PDIP General Election Will Undergo Psychological Tests

JAKARTA - The PDI-P (PDIP) said all legislative candidates (candidates) who will run in the 2024 General Election will undergo psychological tests. PDIP cooperates with the Indonesian Psychological Association (Himpsi).

"Today we have a meeting with the Association of Indonesian Psychological Experts regarding the psychological test plan for all legislative candidates from the district, city, provincial and DPR RI levels," said Hasto when speaking at the discussion in Jakarta, Thursday, August 25.

Trying to find the best candidates, said Hasto, became the reason for PDIP to cooperate with Himpsi in holding a psychological test.

Meanwhile, to prevent corruption, Hasto said his party would cooperate with the KPK. Anyone who will advance from PDIP is required to take anti-corruption courses which are held online.

Hasto emphasized that PDIP has always been active in recruiting legislative candidates openly. The party also continues to carry out political mapping and communication.

"The party is actively conducting political mapping. Looking at professional figures, community leaders, educational leaders, cultural figures, researchers, bureaucratic officials, retired TNI/Polri and others," he said.

"Cultural figures are also important, considering that Indonesia, which has a cultural personality, requires a symbol of character to become a legislative candidate," continued Hasto.

Finally, these candidates are also obliged to carry out party schools. The goal is to increase the capacity of the candidates in understanding the ideology of Pancasila, the history of the nation's struggle and the Indonesian political system to the electoral aspects related to the strategy of winning elections by means of mutual cooperation.

"PDI-P has a permanent national election witness body and is the only party that has a permanent witness body. Through the Party School, we have conducted three witness TOT trainings, and it is at the Party School that we train all candidates," concluded Hasto.
