First Examined This Week After Suspect Status In The Murder Of Brigadier J, Police Haven't Decided To Detain Putri Chandrawathi

JAKARTA - The Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo said the detention of Putri Chandrawathi, the wife of Inspector General Ferdy Sambo in the case of Brigadier J's murder was the full authority of the investigators.

One of the considerations taken by investigators to decide whether to detain Putri or not is because of the presence of a child who is still 1.5 years old.

"Yes, investigators have objective and subjective reasons. Investigators will decide later, after the examination, they can be decided," explained Dedi in Jakarta, Wednesday, August 24.

The examination of the person concerned is scheduled for Thursday or Friday this week.

It is known, Putri Chandrawathi has four children, each aged 21 years, 17 years, 15 years and 1.5 years.

The special team (timsus) of the National Police has named the wife of Inspector General Ferdy Sambo, Putri Candrawathi, as a suspect in the murder case of Brigadier Yosua Hutabarat or Brigadier J. The determination of the suspect Putri Chandrawathi is based on the results of the case title.

"Based on the results of the case, investigators have determined PC as a suspect," said Irwasum Polri Komjen Agung Budi Maryoto at a press conference, Friday, August 19.

The determination of the suspect against Ferdy Sambo's wife is supported by strong evidence. The National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo previously requested a scientific-based investigation into the case of Brigadier J's death. With this determination, a total of five people have been named as suspects.

Apart from Putri Candrawati, the other suspects include Inspector General Ferdy Sambo, Bharada Richard Eliezer, Bripka RR, Strong Maruf

The suspects were charged with Article 340 subsidiary Article 338 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) and Article 56 of the Criminal Code.

The determination of the suspect against Putri Candrawati is because it is strongly suspected that she had a role in the alleged premeditated murder case of Brigadier J. Because Putri Candrawati had made a report on allegations of sexual harassment.
