Stealing A Student's IPhone, Senen's Pickpocket Doesn't Move

JAKARTA – BNM, a middle-aged man who was imprisoned for pickpocketing. This time, the 44-year-old man was again arrested for the same case.

The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Senen Police, AKP Ganang Agung, explained that the perpetrator was arrested on Jalan Kramat Bunder, Senen, Central Jakarta by a team of ambush workers (busers) of the Senen Police.

"We have arrested one perpetrator, currently at the relevant police station. The evidence is an iPhone cell phone with a price of 6 million rupiah," said AKP Ganang, Wednesday, August 24.

AKP Ganang said that the perpetrator tried to commit theft by unzipping a student's bag with the initials V (19). However, the perpetrator's actions are known to the victim. BNM fled after being shouted at by the victim.

"At that time there were members who were on patrol, seeing someone being chased by the police, they immediately went to the location. It turned out that it was true that there was an act of stealing a cell phone where the stolen goods were stored in the front pants of the stomach," he said.

The officers immediately arrested the perpetrator and took him to the police station along with the victim and the evidence. The perpetrator admitted that he used to play in the Senen area such as terminals, stations and the Senen market.

In order to account for his actions, the perpetrator was charged with Article 362 of the Criminal Code regarding theft with a penalty of more than 5 years in prison.
