The National Police Chief Finally Opens Up About CCTV Destroyer In Duren Tiga

JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo has finally opened up about the perpetrators of destroying evidence in the form of CCTV in the case of Brigadier J's murder.

"From the results of the interrogation, we are now clear that the CCTV was taken by members or officers from the Propam Div Personnel and personnel from the Criminal Investigation Unit," said General Sigit in a working meeting with Commission III of the DPR RI, Wednesday, August 24.

The CCTV evidence is a key witness in revealing the case of Brigadier J.

Moreover, the surveillance camera installed at the security post of the Police Complex, Duren Tiga, recorded all ethical violations committed by individuals from the Propam Division.

"From there, it is revealed who the roles of each take and who secures it," he said.

Until finally, a bright spot was found in the investigation of the obstruction of justice. All parties involved are known and in the process of prosecution.

"Then when we carry out further investigations, we will find out who damaged the CCTV," said the National Police Chief.

It is known, in the case of Brigadier J, a special team of the National Police has named five suspects. They include Inspector General Ferdy Sambo, Bharada Richard Eliezer, Bripka Ricky Rizal, and Strong Maruf.

Most recently, the Timsus also named Putri Chandrawathi or the wife of Ferdy Sambo as suspects.

They were charged with Article 340 subsidiary Article 338 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) and Article 56 of the Criminal Code.

In addition, the National Police team examined 83 personnel related to the case of Brigadier J's murder. There were 35 members who were recommended to be placed in the Special Forces.

As for the members who have been placed in patus totaling 16 people. 10 of them are at the Provos Polri and the rest are at the Brimbo Headquarters, Kelapa Dua, Depok.
