Komnas HAM Opens Conversation On New Cellphone Adjutant Inspector General Ferdy Sambo: There Is A Direction Remember The Scenario Responded 'OK Commander'

JAKARTA - The National Human Rights Commission (Komnas HAM) said the conversations found on the new cellphone of the aide Inspector General of Police, Ferdy Sambo, indicated that there was an obstruction of justice or an attempt to hinder law enforcement/investigation.

"If you describe that there is an obstruction of justice," it's actually done," said Komnas HAM chairman Ahmad Taufan Damanik, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, August 23.

This was conveyed by the Chairman of the National Human Rights Commission regarding the cellphones belonging to Brigadier J and Bharada E, which until now have not been found.

"In the new cellphone that was found, for example, there was a communication that asked to remember the scenario," said Taufan.

Then, he said, the directive to remember the scenario was answered with "okay commander". This is considered by Komnas HAM to have shown evidence that there was a conspiracy in the case of the death of Brigadier J.

However, if Komnas HAM can find the cellphones belonging to Brigadier J and Bharada E, which have not been found yet, this will further enrich the investigation of the case, including the description of "obstruction of justice".

In the case of Brigadier J's murder, the National Police Special Team has named five people as suspects. The five were Inspector General Ferdy Sambo, Ferdy Sambo's wife, Putri Candrawathi, Bharada Richard Eliezer Pudihang Lumiu alias Bharada E, Bripka Ricky Rizal or Bripka RR, and Sambo's household assistant, Kuwat Maruf.

They were charged with Article 340 subsidiary Article 338 in conjunction with Article 55 in conjunction with Article 56 of the Criminal Code. Article 340 stipulates that criminal acts related to premeditated murder are punishable by the death penalty, life imprisonment, or 20 years imprisonment.

In addition, there were six police officers who were investigated for allegedly committing a crime with "obstruction of justice" or obstructing the investigation of the murder case of Brigadier J. Of the six names, one of them was Ferdy Sambo.
